Kananaskis Upper Lake

I planned a 4 hr hike around the Upper Kananaskis Lake. The goal was to see Moose!
When I got there snow was really deep, and there were only two girls with snow shoes on the same trail. When they turned around before completing the loop, so did I. I could not see the path and decided it was safer not to continue without a path. Also I was on top of a frozen lake. Still took me around 4 hr, I made it half way. Beautiful scenery of course!

Montana ✓

I decided I wanted to go to Montana. Actually, like many other things, I have been wanting to go for quite some time.
I waited for my day off to drive myself there. Left Calgary 6 am sharp.
Got to see the sunrise over Fort McLeod and what a scenery when approaching the border!
No problem getting in or out the US. Nicest people, they all wished me a good day and to enjoy myself. Montana is stunning and it's very unusual there is no snow in December. Ususlly this time a year it's -20, what a blessing and what luck!
I did some careful planning before going: I knew there would be no phone reception, I would be on my own and being so hot, bears are probably not sleeping yet.
4 hr hike along Red Eagle trail in Glacier National park.
